Youth Awareness Day 2025 – Shropshire Goes Blue for Youth
On Thursday 16th October, communities across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin will unite for Youth Awareness Day — a vibrant new initiative led by young people and supported by the High Sheriff of Shropshire, Jane Trowbridge.
The campaign invites everyone to wear blue and make a small donation to support youth-focused charities and initiatives. From mental health support to leadership development, the goal is to amplify youth voices and invest in their future.
Schools will be dressing in blue and hosting creative fundraising activities. Local organisations and individuals are encouraged to show their support and donate.
Young people are at the heart of the campaign — shaping grant decisions, leading enterprise challenges, and driving meaningful change.
As part of the campaign, schools can take part in a longer-term fundraising challenge, encouraging students to launch mini ventures and develop entrepreneurial skills. The most impactful projects will be recognised with a visit from the High Sheriff.
Whether you're a teacher, parent, business owner or community member, you can help make a difference. To register your school or express interest in participating, please complete the Expression of Interest Form and send it to youthawarenessday@gmail.com Find out more here: www.shropshirecommunityfoundation.org.uk/youth-awareness-day/
