Mayor’s Charity Race Night Raises Over £800 for Local Causes
The Mayor of Ludlow’s Charity Race Night proved a fantastic success, bringing the community together for an evening of fun, friendly competition and fundraising at Ludlow Rugby Club. Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of everyone who attended, the event raised over £800 in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities: Working Together Ludlow and St Michael’s Hospice.
Guests enjoyed eight lively races, plenty of cheering, and delicious food from local favourite Noba Kitchen, alongside a busy bar and a brilliant atmosphere throughout the night. The Mayor expressed heartfelt thanks to all who took part, saying the community spirit made the evening “a wonderful start to this year’s fundraising programme.”
The funds raised will help Working Together Ludlow continue providing meaningful opportunities and support for people with learning disabilities, and will contribute to the compassionate, specialist care offered by St Michael’s Hospice to individuals and families across the region.
Following the success of the Race Night, the Mayor’s next fundraising event will be the much‑anticipated Charity Curry Night at Shapla on Thursday 23rd July. Last year’s Curry Night was a sell‑out, and this year promises another warm, sociable evening with great food and great company — all in support of the Mayor’s charities.
Full details and ticket information will be released shortly on official social media channels. For further information, and tickets sales please contact Ludlow Town Council on 01584 871970.
