Ludlow Town Council Elects New Mayor and Deputy Mayor
At its Annual Meeting held on 14th May 2025, Ludlow Town Council elected Councillor Diane Lyle as Mayor for 2025/26. Councillor Lyle succeeds Councillor Beverley Waite, who served with distinction during the past year.
In the same meeting, Councillor Kathy Cowell was elected Deputy Mayor for the coming year.
Ludlow’s newly elected Mayor, Councillor Diane Lyle said:
“It is a great honour to be chosen to serve as Mayor of Ludlow. I look forward to representing our town with pride at civic and community events.”
Deputy Mayor, Cllr Kathy Cowell added:
“I’m delighted to have been elected Deputy Mayor and I’m committed to supporting the Mayor and continuing to serve the community of Ludlow.”
The Council also extended its sincere thanks to outgoing Mayor, Councillor Beverley Waite, in recognition of her excellent service to the town during the past year.
The Mayor Making Ceremony will take place at 7.00pm on Wednesday 28 May 2025 at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms. All residents are warmly invited to attend this civic event.
