Ludlow Celebrates: Past Mayor Presents £6,822 to Local Charities

Ludlow Town Council is delighted to announce that Past Mayor, Councillor Beverley Waite, has presented a remarkable £6,822 to two deserving charities, raised through a year of dedicated fundraising during her mayoral term.

The funds will be shared equally between:

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which provides critical, lifesaving emergency response services across the region.
Working Together, a local charity promoting inclusion, opportunity, and community support for people with learning difficulties and learning disabilities.

In response to the donation Nigel Bishop, Chief Officer of Working Together said:

“On behalf of everyone at Working Together we’d like to say a huge thank to Cllr Waite for choosing Working Together as one of the mayor’s two charities for last year and to everyone who has kindly contributed to this brilliant donation – it is very much appreciated”.

Councillor Waite expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the fundraising efforts—from community events to individual donations—which reflect the strong civic spirit and generosity of Ludlow residents.

“It was an absolute honour to hand over these contributions to such worthwhile causes. But the true credit belongs to the incredible people of Ludlow. Your kindness, energy, and support made this possible.”

The Town Council extends its sincere appreciation to Cllr Waite and the Ludlow community for their inspiring commitment to local and regional causes.
