LTC supports SYA
Ludlow Town Council will help fund local Youth Service.
Ludlow Town Council has agreed to provide £18,000 in funding for Shropshire Youth Association (SYA) to deliver Ludlow Youth Club for the next three years, the Millichope Foundation is also partially funding the youth club for the same period.
The junior youth club will run on Tuesday evenings for 39 weeks of the year during term-time for children aged 10 to 13 years old at the Youth Centre, Lower Galdeford, Ludlow.
The Town Council has previously provided partial funding on a year-by-year basis since funding was withdrawn by Shropshire Council, although Shropshire Council have continued to host the club at their Youth Club venue.
The Town Council is proud to invest in the longer-term future of Ludlow Youth Club, which is an important resource for young people in Ludlow. The club, run by SYA, provides fun activities including scavenger hunts, crafts, karaoke, cooking, and games to support physical and emotional health and help young people build their confidence.
