The Mayor of Ludlow

Councillor Glenn Ginger

For 2023/2024 Councillor Glenn Ginger is elected the Mayor of Ludlow.

A new Town Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected each year at Annual Council, which is held in May.

Throughout the year Ludlow Town Council holds many Civic and Mayoral events in the town to celebrate or commemorate important days of the year, to raise funds for the Mayor's Charity or to provide community events for the people of the town and surrounding areas.

These events include Mayor Making, Remembrance Sunday and Mayor's Sunday to name a few.

Annually in May the Mayor Making Ceremony is held. The ceremony is to introduce and swear in the new Mayor and appoint people into civic and ceremonial positions such as the Sargent in Arms and Chaplain.

It also gives the outgoing Mayor an opportunity to thank Councillors and staff, and to present a cheque to his chosen Mayoral Charity
