Public consultation on electric vehicle charging points
Ludlow Town Council, in partnership with Ludlow 21’s Sustainable Transport Group, would like to hear your views on the provision of electric vehicle charging points throughout the town.
Central Government’s drive towards lowering carbon outputs means that there are currently grants available for electric vehicle charging points to be provided on residential roads.
This would allow town residents to charge a vehicle where they had no garage or drive to park on.
A presentation to the In and Out Ludlow in October was met with a positive response
and the group requested that the Town Council survey the suitability and need for on-street charging points. The results will be taken to Shropshire Council who is responsible for the maintenance of the public highway.
