New Phone System
Ludlow Town Council has gone digital and increased the capacity of its phone system.
The pandemic really challenged the town council's old phone infrastructure - it was landline based and the phone was transferred to a single mobile number operated remotely by one member of staff, who relayed messages to other staff.
Staff kept the town council in contact with the public with this system, but it was a struggle, and calls were missed if the line was already busy.
The improved phone system means it is possible for staff to transfer calls, and handle multiple calls from the public.
The number remains the same - 01584 871 970. The hours of business remain the same Mon - Thurs 9:30 am - 4 pm and Friday 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Staff can also be contacted via email or social media.
