Mayor of Ludlow Attends Mayor of Kidderminster’s Charity Ball

The Mayor of Ludlow, Councillor Diane Lyle, was delighted to attend the Mayor of Kidderminster’s Charity Ball at Kidderminster Town Hall, joining fellow civic leaders and community representatives for an evening dedicated to generosity, connection, and local pride.

The event brought together neighbouring towns to celebrate the remarkable fundraising efforts taking place across the region. This year, the Mayor of Kidderminster is supporting three local charities: Kidderminster & District Youth Trust, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, and Kidderminster Foodbank—all organisations making a meaningful difference to young people, local wildlife, and families in need.

Guests enjoyed a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with the evening shining a spotlight on the power of community spirit and the positive impact of charitable giving. Mayor Lyle expressed her gratitude to the Mayor of Kidderminster for the kind invitation and for hosting such a thoughtful event that brings people together in support of important local causes.

As part of her own mayoral year, Mayor Lyle continues to champion Working Together Ludlow, a charity at the heart of supporting people with learning disabilities across the community. Her programme of fundraising events has already included a lively Music Variety Night and a well‑attended Quiz Night, with more opportunities for residents to get involved in the months ahead. Upcoming events include performances from the Almshouse All Stars Jazz Group, a community Afternoon Tea, a Folk Music Night, and a 20s-Style Dinner at the newly refurbished Castle Lodge — all aimed at raising funds and celebrating Ludlow’s inclusive community spirit.
