The Linney Riverside Park is a great place for family fun. A new and exciting play park was opened in March 2012. Picnic benches, toilets and car parking are all available on site.

There is a gated floating jetty for canoe access to the river.

Ludlow Town Council are proud to be able to provide this fantastic amenity area situated in beautiful surroundings beside the River Teme behind Ludlow Castle. The Council would like to thank funding partners Shropshire Council & Friends of Linney Riverside Park, the Big Lottery and Community Spaces for enabling the Council to enhance the facilities to ensure this area can be enjoyed by residents and visitors.

Entry to the park is free, car park open 7 days a week with a £1 charge for parking all day

There is also a multi-use games area (MUGA) and childrens play area, football pitch and purpose-built skate park at Wheeler Road Playing Field.

 

The new home for the Ludlow Amateur Boxing Club was opened on the 19th September 2014 with an evening reception to thank all those who had contributed to the project.  On the 20th September the Boxing Club welcomed members of the public for a look around.

The Town Council would like to thank all those who contributed, whether by donation or providing time and skills, without which the project would not have been possible.

Ludlow Boxing Club is situated in the top corner of Wheeler Road Playing Field -
the new building will ensure future generations are able to enjoy the great oppotunities the Boxing Club offers young people in Ludlow.

 A small fenced play area with play bark surface ideal for younger children.

Is a large open space open to people of all ages for ball games or other activities.

Within the shadow of Ludlow castle walls, the gardens include an avenue of Lime Trees, sculpture by local blind artist Seren Thomas, many memorial benches, a Fountain donated to the town by former Mayor G Woodhouse and the Russian Cannon captured during the Crimean War.

Bordered by stretch of the old Town Wall, St Johns Gardens is a quiet space with flower beds and seating for both local residents and visitors.

The closed churchyard of St Laurences’ church was cleared of headstones in the 20th century, so it could be used as a calm area of reflection in the town centre. The public open space with a central cross, adjoins the historic town walls (currently under repair).
