Successful Charity Curry Night Raises Over £400 — and More Fundraising Events Ahead

Ludlow Town Council is delighted to announce the success of the Mayor’s Charity Curry Night, held at Shapla. More than 30 guests attended the event, enjoying excellent food, fantastic company and a buzzing atmosphere from start to finish.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, the evening raised just over £400 in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities: Working Together Ludlow and St Michael’s Hospice. Both organisations provide vital support within the community, from empowering adults with learning disabilities to delivering specialist end‑of‑life care across the region.

Mayor of Ludlow Cllr Diane Lyle said: “It was a wonderful evening filled with warmth, laughter and generosity. I’d like to thank everyone who joined us and helped raise funds for two charities that make such a meaningful difference to people’s lives.”

The Mayor’s fundraising programme continues with another exciting community event: an 80s Disco with DJ Toolie on Friday 14 August at Ludlow Brewery. With iconic throwback tunes and a vibrant retro atmosphere, the night promises to be a highlight of the summer — all while raising further funds for the Mayor’s chosen charities.

Ludlow Town Council and the Mayor of Ludlow extend thanks to everyone who attended the Curry Night and contributed to its success and looks forward to welcoming residents and visitors to the upcoming 80s Disco and future charity events.
