A vacancy has been announced on Ludlow Town Council (Clee View Ward), and the formal Notice of Election has now been published and can be found below.

Notice of Election 

The Returning Officer has confirmed that “one councillor is to be elected” for the ward, and anyone interested in standing can submit nomination papers to The Guildhall in Shrewsbury. These must be received by 4pm on Friday 20 February 2026.

Nomination packs are available for collection in Ludlow from the Guildhall, Mill Street, Ludlow: Monday to Friday 10am – 3 pm.  Please note that completed nominations to stand for election must be delivered to the Shropshire Council Returning Officer, The Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 8H no later than 4pm on Friday, 20th February 2026.

If more than one valid nomination is received by the Returning Officer, an election will take place on Thursday 19 March 2026.

Residents who wish to vote in the election should be aware that several voter deadlines fall in early March, including registering to vote and arranging postal or proxy voting. Full guidance is available from the Electoral Registration Officer.
