Mayor’s 80s Disco Raises £600 for Local Charities
Ludlow Town Council is pleased to announce the success of the Mayor’s 80s Disco, held on Friday 14th August at Ludlow Brewery. The event attracted over 80 attendees, with DJ Toolie creating a lively and nostalgic atmosphere filled with classic hits, neon flair and a few standout 80s outfits adding to the fun.
The event raised around £600, with proceeds entirely funded through ticket sales, supporting the Mayor’s chosen charities: Working Together Ludlow and St Michael’s Hospice. Both organisations provide vital support within the community, from empowering adults with learning disabilities to delivering specialist end‑of‑life care across the region.
Mayor of Ludlow Cllr Di Lyle said: “It was a brilliant night — full of music, fun and community spirit. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and helped raise funds for two charities that make such a meaningful difference to local people. These events not only raise vital funds for local charities but also bring people into Ludlow — residents and visitors alike — supporting local venues, traders and the town’s economy”.
Ludlow Town Council extends its thanks to all the disco fans who attended, to Ludlow Brewery for providing a fantastic venue, and to Noba Kitchen, who delighted the disco‑goers with amazing food.
