Ludlow Launches Its First Youth Festival
Ludlow Town Council is excited to announce the launch of its first ever Youth Festival, taking place on Thursday 30th July 2026, from 11am to 4pm at Wheeler Road Recreation Area in Ludlow.
The creation of this new event follows an extensive consultation with young people, families, schools and community groups earlier this year. The Council received a strong response, with clear messages about what young people in Ludlow want: more active outdoor opportunities, more creative spaces, more music and performance, and more chances to connect with local services in a positive, informal way.
Ludlow Town Council extends its sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to share their ideas and feedback. This input has directly shaped the programme for the Youth Festival, ensuring the event reflects the interests and priorities of local young people.
The 2026 Youth Festival is proudly supported by Future Sound, whose sponsorship has enhanced the Town Council’s budget and helped to bring a wider range of live entertainment and youth focused programming to the event. Colin Oliver, Managing Director of Future Sound, said: “As a local lad, I’m really pleased we’re able to support the Youth Festival and help give the young people of Ludlow a fun day out. It’s great to see an event like this being created for the community, and we’re proud to be part of a free day that everyone can enjoy.”
In addition to a wide range of activities, we also have a fantastic group of local food vendors, including Noba Kitchen, M & M Ices and the Pizza Girls, who will be serving a wide range of food and refreshments throughout the day.
A vibrant line‑up of activities and entertainment has been confirmed, including:
Gamechanger MGV Gaming Van – immersive gaming experiences
Sunshine Radio – stage, PA and live presenting throughout the day
Dirt Factory Events Team – pump track hire and cycling fun
Local Police – meet the team and explore a police vehicle
Local Fire Brigade – fire engine visit and crew engagement
Liam’s Bouncy Castle – slides and bouncy castles
Macy‑O – live performance from 12pm to 1pm
Ludlow Assembly Rooms – craft sessions, community engagement and a free‑to‑enter raffle to win cinema tickets
Teddy Bears’ Picnic – family‑friendly space for younger children; bring your favourite bear or adopt a bear who needs a home
Special Guest from Toy Story – meet‑and‑greet fun for younger visitors
The Youth Festival is a free event, open to all young people and families. With music, activities, food, creativity and community partners all in one place, the festival aims to become a new annual highlight for Ludlow’s community.
