Halloween Fun Comes to Ludlow Market and Ludlow Museum
Ludlow Town Council is bringing a double dose of Halloween fun to the town this October, with family‑friendly activities taking place at both Ludlow Market and Ludlow Museum at the Buttercross.
From 29 to 31 October, children and families are invited to take part in the free Ludlow Market Halloween Trail, featuring six spooky surprises hidden around the stalls. Trail sheets can be collected from the Silver Grill, participating traders, or the Guildhall, Mill Street.
Young explorers can solve the clues, search the Market, and collect stamps each time they discover one of the spooky surprises. Completed trail sheets can be posted in the Halloween collection box, kindly hosted by Mark at the Silver Grill on Friday and Saturday, or dropped off at the Guildhall. All completed entries will be entered into a draw for a Halloween prize.
Traders are invited to join in the fun by dressing up and decorating their stalls. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Trader and Best Dressed Stall, celebrating creativity and community spirit across the Market.
Ludlow Museum at the Buttercross will also be celebrating Halloween with themed activities designed for younger visitors. Families can enjoy spooky crafts, puzzles, and seasonal museum fun from 23 October to 1 November. We’re also excited to announce that Sunday 1 November will be our first Free Entry Sunday, launching the Museum’s new six‑month trial. The Museum’s Halloween activities complement the Market trail, giving families two engaging ways to explore Ludlow’s heritage and enjoy the festivities.
Ludlow Town Council is delighted to offer these free, family‑friendly activities that bring together traders, visitors, and the local community. Both the Market and Museum events aim to create a welcoming, enjoyable Halloween experience in the heart of the town.
