Policy & Finance Committee
Policy & Finance Committee consists of ten Councillors. The Policy & Finance Committee has responsibility for the following:
- Strategic Planning
- Budget strategy
- Preparing and monitoring a business plan covering a minimum of 3 years
- Reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness of all Council operations
- Operating the Council’s performance management system
- Overseeing the process of service reviews
- Drafting annual capital and revenue estimates for presentation to Council after considering proposals put to it by other standing committees
- Overall control of the Council’s finances
- Asset management
- Crisis management
