The Senior Citizen's Christmas party was held again at Ludlow College.  A good afternoon was had by all who attended.  Click here to see photographs. 


A service of remembrance is being held at the Chapel, Henley Road Cemetery on Wednesday11th December 2013 at 6 pm.

This service is open to all those families who have lost children of any age. Refreshments will be provided by Ludlow Town Council. All are welcome.


 Christmas Lights Switch-On 2013

This year we had real reindeer to pull Santa in his sleigh to Santa's Grotto. This year he was accompanied by Chloe R Williams who was the winner of Ludlow Town Council's Christmas Image competition.

The event was very popular this year with many people coming to see the reindeer in the town. Click on the image on the left to view some of the photographs.



The Mayor of Ludlow will be hosting a race night at Oscars in Ludlow Assembly Rooms on the 29th November at 7pm.

Tickets are £5.00 which will include entrance and refreshments. There will be 8 races and raffle payable on the night. The Mayor is also providing a raffle with tickets available on the night.

Ludlow TiCL Champion

Ludlow Chamber of Commerce are looking for a TiCL Champion for Ludlow. The post is suitable for a self employed contractor working to an initial budget of £1k available over a 6 month period. There is an expectation that the post holder will generate income to further the work for the next six months and beyond. The post holder will report to the Ludlow Chamber of Commerceís Tourism Group on a monthly basis. The work will be required over a period starting from January 2014.

Christmas Lights Switch-On 2013



The Mayor of Ludlow will be turning on the Christmas Lights for Ludlow this year. See Santa arrive on his sleigh pulled by real reindeer and children are welcome to visit him in his sliegh.

There will be music provided by Sunshine Radio Road Show, as well as performances from Fuzion Dance Cheerleaders and Got 2 sing Choir.

Mayor's Halloween Party Night and Raffle

The Mayor of Ludlow is hosting a Halloween Party Night at Oscars in Ludlow Assembly Rooms on the 1st November 2013. There will also be a Raffle with all proceeds made going to the Mayors Charities Community First Responders and the Royal British Legion, Ludlow Branch.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this years heart of england in bloom competition for the fifth year in a row Ludlow has been awarded gold. This was a difficult year due to a late spring followed by a very hot and dry summer, however Ludlow in Bloom have managed to pull off another gold.

Youth Festival


Ludlow's annual Youth Festival will be taking place at Wheeler Road Skate Park on Saturday 31st August 2013 from 3-7pm. A £1.00 wrist band will give you Bouncy Castle, Bucking Bronco, Facepainting, BMX Competitions, Live Bands, Arts Activities, Football, Stocks and more.

Featuring live music from Fight the Bear.



Quiz Night

The Blue Boar in Ludlow will host the Mayor of Ludlow's quiz night in aid of his Charities the Community First Responders and The Royal British Legion, Ludlow Branch. Teams of four are required and tickets are £5.00 to enter. Half of the entry fee's will go to the Mayor's Charities and the rest will make up the winning teams prize.

The Mayor is also providing a Raffle with many prizes on offer.

Henley Road Cemetery Burial Register

The Burial Registers have been in use for almost 100 years and some are in need of repair. One has had to be rebound and recovered. Click here to find out more.

Ludlow Boxing Club Update

The Ludlow Boxing Club community project is progressing well. The external facades are almost complete with just the doors needed to be added to make the building weather tight. Much of the work for inside of the building is still needed to be done. Click here for more images and information.

A new Community Transport Scheme for Ludlow

A Scheme that provides a new 14 seater minibus and a wheel chair accessible people carrier for door to door transport, for groups and individuals who find it difficult to access existing public transport.

Henley Road Cemetery Information Boards


Ludlow Town Council needs your views on installing two interpretation boards close to the main entrances of the cemetery to help guide and inform visitors to the cemetery.

The boards themselves would provide information on how to find the graves you are looking for, utility locations such as taps, bins and benches informing visitors on getting around the cemetery.


The consultaion stage of this ends on the 10th September 2013 and if you want to have your say you will need to either email the Town Clerk: townclerk@ludlow.gov.uk

Mayor Making and Mayor's Sunday

The 22 May 2013 saw Cllr Smither formally become Mayor of Ludlow at a Mayor Making Ceremony held at Ludlow Assembly Rooms. To see more picture and information Click Here.

On the 22nd St Laurence's Church was host to Mayor's Sunday celebrations, which involved a procession through town to the Church, Church service followed by a second procession and dismissal down Old Street. For more information and photographs of the event Click here.


Ludlow Town Council is delighted to announce that Councillor Jim Smithers was voted Mayor elect and Councillor Paul Draper was voted Deputy Mayor elect at the Councilís annual meeting on the 15th May 2013.
